The location of the hostel is very convenient, being right by the train station in a sprawling area. It provided great guidance for exploring Nagano and had spacious and comfortable beds. The staff was friendly and helpful, offering sightseeing assistance even though they technically weren't supposed to deal with guests during the day.
The hostel had limitations such as curfews, a lack of functioning facilities on the third floor, and a non-functioning elevator.

The rooms at Moritomizu Backpackers are cozy and comfortable, with a seating area to chill and unwind. I loved the option to choose between dormitory-style rooms or private rooms, depending on my mood and budget. The bathrooms with showers and toilets were clean and convenient. Each room also had a shared bathroom, which was a plus. And did I mention that all rooms are air-conditioned? Perfect for those hot summer days!
I personally didn't like that there was only a shared bathroom in each room. But hey, that's just my opinion.

The rooms at Moritomizu Backpackers were super cozy and comfortable. I loved the seating area where we could relax and hang out with our friends. It really made us feel at home and added a nice touch to our stay.
Personally, I wasn't a fan of the shared bathroom. But hey, some people might enjoy the convenience and social aspect of it.

At Moritomizu, I always come back. No regrets. Helpful staff, great recommendations for dining. Perfect amenities: Wi-Fi, kitchen, AC, laundry, ski storage. Easter visit? Absolutely! Thankful for this home away from home.

I was really impressed with the value for money at Moritomizu Backpackers. The room was clean and cozy, and the staff treated us like old friends. The location was perfect, just a short walk from the train station and close to all the main attractions.
The only thing that could have made breakfast better was the selection of food.
